You’ll lead the development of next-generation decontamination/sterilizing and other technologies for the world’s most advanced gloveless aseptic filling systems. This is a high-impact position reporting to the Head of Engineering, Aseptic Filling and is part of the engineering team located in Burnaby, BC and will be an on-site role. What you will do: Lead research and development of cutting-edge decontamination and sterilization technologies. Design, execute and optimize aseptic filling equipment in collaboration with engineering, automation and quality teams. Act as a technical leader driving innovation in sterility assurance and aseptic filling technologies – influencing system design and process architecture. Translate scientific insights into scalable, regulatory-compliant solutions for aseptic manufacturing. Who you are: A process chemist, chemical or a process engineer with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant scientific discipline. You have deep expertise in aseptic pharmaceutical equipment with a focus on fill-finish systems, sterilization or decontamination. Strong foundation in analytical methods, experimental design (DoE) and statistical analysis. Proven ability to lead complex R&D initiatives and collaborate across disciplines. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: GMP/GLP practices and global regulatory frameworks. Cleanroom design and/or robotic aseptic technologies.
