We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Labourer to assist with a variety of tasks in residential and commercial renovation projects. This role involves supporting skilled tradespeople, maintaining a safe and organized work environment, and performing hands-on duties related to interior and exterior construction. Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist with demolition, site preparation, and cleanup for interior and exterior renovation projects.
• Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
• Perform basic construction tasks such as measuring, cutting, and assembling materials under supervision.
• Support carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other tradespeople as needed.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and light machinery safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by removing debris, organizing materials, and adhering to safety protocols.
• Assist with the installation of drywall, flooring, siding, roofing, and other building components.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and communicate effectively with team members.
• Perform other general labour duties as assigned based on project needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• previous experience in renovation, or a construction related field is an asset; on-the-job training will be provided.
• Physical Ability: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
• Skills: Basic knowledge of construction tools and techniques is preferred; willingness to learn is essential.
• Safety Awareness: Familiarity with workplace safety standards and a commitment to following safety guidelines (e.g., wearing PPE such as hard hats, gloves, and steel-toed boots).
• Teamwork: Strong ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and able to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or overtime as project deadlines require.
• Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are a plus.
• Certifications: Working at Heights, WHMIS, or other relevant safety certifications are an advantage but not mandatory.
