EXPERIENCED ACCOUNTS CLERK

Location: Glenfield, Leicester
Salary: £27,000 – £34,000 (Dependent on experience) – Pro-rata for part time hours
Job Type: Monday to Friday - Full Time
* Part time hours considered but must be in the office Monday to Friday

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience in a similar account’s role
• Strong working knowledge of VAT, Payroll and CIS processes incl. revenue reporting
• Familiarity with Sage 50 accounting software
• Excellent attention to detail and time management
• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers using Sage 50 software incl. preparing monthly management accounts
• Process weekly and monthly payroll for employees and subcontractors
• Manage CIS deductions and submissions in line with HMRC regulations
• Experience in VAT returns
• Experience in bank reconciliations
• Process purchase invoices and raise sales invoices incl. recording project costs
• Support month-end reporting and ad hoc finance tasks
• Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal teams regarding payment queries
