Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Control and Automation Engineer to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) in Essen.

• BSc/BEng in Electronic / Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with a strong interest in industrial process control, automation and computer systems
• Extensive design (10 + years) and Project engineering experience leading teams in mining, metals, minerals processing or heavy industry environment
• Experience with fieldbus technologies, networking and hardware
• Knowledge of automation components and systems with focus on Siemens, TIA portal, etc.
• Knowledge of network technology, server, virtualisation, redundancy concepts
• Knowledge in DCS/PLC technology, highly available and failsafe systems
• Experience in commissioning industrial automation projects
• Demonstrated strong troubleshooting, analytical, technical problem-solving skills
• High attention to details, motivation and commitment to quality and customer service
• Ability to operate effectively and work under pressure in a fast-pace environment
• Demonstrated ability to learn and quickly comprehend new concepts and technologies
• Understanding of all aspects of software development and implementation
• Flexibility to meet project requirements
• Knowledge of Windows, Basic Networking and Databases
• Fluent in German and English
