An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Kershaw Unit, Gartnavel Royal Hospital. This post supports the delivery of administrative and secretarial support to the in-patient ward, Acute Liaison Service, Dietitians and wider multi-disciplinary team within the Kershaw Unit.
The post holder will ensure that an effective and efficient administrative service is delivered to the multi-disciplinary team which comprises of senior managers, consultant psychiatrists, psychology, nursing, dietician and occupational therapy staff.
The post holder will provide reception cover on a daily basis.
The post holder is required to have excellent communication skills and has an important role in projecting a positive and professional image of the service. The post holder is expected to ensure that information required is passed on accurately and timeously to the team.
The post holder is required to use initiative and resource while exercising a high degree of confidentiality, diplomacy and tact.
The post-holder operates within pre-determined procedures and parameters and is required to act independently, prioritising work with periodic review from supervisor.
Workload is generated by the clinical caseload and professional roles of the multi-disciplinary team.
