The Position: The post of SRHR Country Programme Coordinator is located both in the UNFPA Country Office in Majuro and Ministry of Health & Human Services, RMI and will report directly to both the Programme Analyst and UNFPA Focal Point at the MoHHS. S/he will support the smooth and timely implementation of relevant country SRHR/Family Planning (FP) programmes and will be a part of a dynamic inter-disciplinary team that provides integrated programme and technical support within a system strengthening approach that is fundamental to UNFPA’s overall strategy. S/He will work closely with the RMI Ministry of Health & Human Services (MOHHS) to support implementation of Annual Work Plan 2026 (AWP2026) related to SRHR and all relevant work. UNFPA is seeking candidates that transform, inspire, and deliver high impact and sustained results; we need staff who are transparent, exceptional in how they manage the resources entrusted to them, and who commit to deliver excellence in programme results Job Purpose: The SRHR Country Programme Coordinator will support relevant programme components implemented by in-country programme teams liaising closely with other programme management staff, as well as the technical advisors at the UNFPA Pacific Sub-regional Office. She/He will work to ensure cohesion in the delivery of the various funded programmes, at national levels, towards achieving UNFPA’s mandate, particularly the 7th Pacific Multicounty Programme (MCP7) and the Transformative Agenda programme for Women, Adolescents, and Youth. The SRHR Coordinator will also serve as the technical focal point for SRHR within the RMNCAH coordination mechanism, supporting the secretariat with agenda setting, follow-up on action items, and reporting on SRHR-related progress. All programme management will be in alignment with National Plans Policies/Strategies and UNFPA’s Multi Country Programme for the Pacific, to create an environment conducive to empowering women and men, particularly young women and men and marginalized groups, to make informed choices about their sexual and reproductive health and protect their sexual and reproductive rights and ensure no one is left behind. The primary role of the SRHR Country Programme Coordinator is: SRHR/FP Country programme support and coordination of in-country implementation towards intended programme result You would be responsible for: With support from UNFPA country team, technical advisors and MoHHS team, contribute towards technical & program management support towards the achievement of key SRHR performance indicators and targets of MoHHS and UNFPA’s MCP7 and Transformative Agenda programme., including: a. Support to design and implement SRHR activities, support to supportive supervision, contraceptive logistics management, spot checks, youth friendly health services and others as agreed in the work plan. b. Support to quality and appropriate attendance in all activities so that all the Service Delivery Points in RMI including that the outer islands have trained staff, commodities and other resource materials to provide quality SRH services c. Developing and submitting progress, quarterly and financial reports for SRHR programme. d. Documenting lessons learned; collecting and securely storing monitoring and evaluation data Support the Ministry of Health and Human Services in the co-ordination of the RMNCAH Committee activities towards achievement of results, through regular proactive, action-focused coordination meetings, SRHR advocacy activities and monitoring of results. dentify appropriate channels and support advocacy for universal access to SRHR information and services at national level, councils of neighboring islands and at the community level through development of advocacy briefs, statements, talking points and reports on the SRHR needs and programme achievements. Organizing and supporting the implementation of SRHR-related events including training, workshops, conferences and meetings in Majuro, Ebeye and the neighboring islands. Support to liaising with designated counterparts within government departments, key implementing partners, donors and development partners including UN sister agencies to build partnerships for advocacy and resource mobilization for the successful implementation of SRHR initiatives. Support to foster a culture of monitoring and assessment in close co-ordination with MHHS and UNFPA colleagues in-country and at the Pacific Sub-Regional Office. Support to developing and strengthening linkages between Adolescent and Youth Friendly Health Services (AYFHS) and Family Life Education (FLE). Support any resource mobilization efforts undertaken by the Country and PSRO offices. Support routine monitoring of SRHR indicators, including service utilization, contraceptive uptake, Adolescent and Youth Friendly Health Services coverage, and RMNCAH-related indicators, in collaboration with MOHHS and UNFPA monitoring and evaluation colleagues. Any other tasks assigned by the MoHHS supervisor and UNFPA Deliverables Completed task plan and agreed deliverables with supervisors based on description of services and activities above: 1st day of every month Monthly summary reports (concise) on implementation delivery updates, including milestones achieved, challenges and risks, identified solutions, lessons learned, best practices, and any relevant meeting notes attached: By the 1st day of the next month Support national IPs with face form and work plan progress reports with all financial and internal control checklists completed, and all supporting documents available and uploaded on the UNFPA system: Before the 10th day of the new quarter Mission reports and clearance documents uploaded on the shared drive: As required and agreed in the monthly task plan Communication and visibility products from ongoing programme delivery (e.g., advocacy briefs, success stories, talking points, presentations): as required and agreed in the monthly task plan. Qualifications and Experience: Education: Associate degree in Public Health, Medicine, Sociology, Demography, Gender, Economics, International Relations, International Development, Public Administration, Management, or related disciplines with at least 2 years of experience in programme management and development relevant to sexual and reproductive health. Bachelors preferred. Knowledge and Experience: At least two years’ experience in programme management and development relevant to sexual and reproductive health Knowledge and practical experience in sexual and reproductive health. Knowledge and practical experience in Monitoring and Evaluation and information management Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail, deadlines and policy compliance Flexible work attitude: the ability to work productively in a team environment and independently, and to handle requests or issues as they arise.
