Job Description To provide a consistent cleaning service in Public Areas while ensuring flower arrangements are freshly and up to Raffles standards. KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Apply creativity while executing flower requests Order necessary materials or equipment Stock and organize goods and package goods for shipment or storage Plan arrangement according to client’s requirements, utilizing knowledge of design and properties of materials, or select appropriate standard design pattern Perform general cleaning duties to ensure the shop is clean and tidy Select floral and foliage for arrangements, working with numerous combinations to synthesize and develop new creations Decorate or supervise the decoration of buildings, halls or other facilities for parties, weddings and other occasions Inform customers about the care, maintenance, and handling of various flowers and foliage, indoor plants other items Conduct classes or demonstrations, or train other workers Water plants, and cut, condition, and clean flowers and foliage for storage Create in-store and window display, designs, and looks to enhance the shop’s image Cleans and maintains areas of responsibility according to set standards and procedures Ensure public areas are well maintained and defect free Report damage or malfunction in hotel public space to Supervisor Maintain equipment in a proper state of cleanliness and repair Maintain check lists on a daily basis Attend daily briefings with supervisor and takes on daily assigned tasks Reports lost and found articles to the Desk coordinator immediately Handle guest complaints, reporting them to Supervisor immediately Report unusual behavior/activities in guestroom, floors/ public areas to Supervisor Comply with hotel’s health, safety and hygiene policy Adhere to personnel grooming and hygiene standards Attend meetings and training sessions as required PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES Good organizational skills Good level of engagement with guests Good knowledge of flower arrangements & Public Area Operations Qualifications Minimum 2 years experience in a similar capacity in a luxury hotel environment Secondary education Good Public Area knowledge
