OUR ROLE Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, the Room Attendant is responsible for the daily cleaning of guest rooms. Imagine how our guests feel when they open the door to their room and experience a spotless, fresh, clean, welcoming space.  The work you do as a Room Attendant has a tremendous impact on our guests’ experience and satisfaction and can make the difference of whether or not guests return to our hotel. Key accountabilities include: Provide the highest quality of service to guests and fellow associates at all times. Ensure guest satisfaction through room cleanliness and attention to guest needs. Check fixtures, television, radio, and heating/cooling equipment for proper operation. Perform daily general clean duties and changing of bedspreads, blankets, mattress pads and shower curtains. Clean, organize, and restock cart at the end of the day (terry, cups, toilet paper, rags, and fill spray bottles). Maintain work cart, tools and other equipment in a clean, organized and safe condition. Report any service discrepancies to the appropriate manager or supervisor to resolve where possible. Report any maintenance deficiencies to the appropriate supervisor or manager. Report any safety or security discrepancies to the appropriate manager or supervisor. Follow all safety and security policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions. YOUR STORY Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel. Someone with an outstanding work ethic, along with a track record of reliability, punctuality and an approachable demeanor, with a strong commitment to Safety. Someone with good communication skills, proficient in the English language. Someone with a positive attitude. Able to work with a variety of chemicals and cleaning supplies. Understanding of WHMIS. Able to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed. Physically able to bend, lift, push, crouch, stand and walk for extended periods of time, as well as able to lift or carry up to 30 lbs.
