Reporting to the Clinical Psychologist, the successful candidate will be attached to one of our the three private wards within the hospital, however able to support colleagues when needed.
They will be joining an excellent experienced team, determined to deliver succesful treatment based on outcomes.
As an Assistant Psychologist you will work alongside the psychology team to support and enhance the professional psychological care and assessment of individuals we support. To work and assist in the delivery of psychological services as directed, and under supervision.
This will include delivering handover every morning, inducting patients to our therapy programme, attending Multi-Disciplinary Team Meetings, support the mental and emotional as well as social well-being of service user, undertake protocol based psychological assessments, assist in the formulation and delivery of care plans involving the psychological treatment, delivery and review of therapy groups, independent on-to-one key work sessions, discharge planning, support and contribute to the training and support of other staff.
The ideal candidate will have experience in working with adults struggling with their mental health, be passionate about supporting patients as part of a team, have excellent communication skills, be professional, have the ability to be flexible and work well with change, graduate in psychology.
