SUMMARY – FOOD & BEVERAGE SUPERVISOR

Join The Other House as a Food & Beverage Supervisor, where you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional service across our restaurant (The Other Kitchen), cocktail bar (The Owl and Monkey), and private Members Club (The Club). This dynamic position requires a natural host with strong leadership skills, ensuring seamless operations, outstanding guest experiences, and a welcoming atmosphere. The key responsibilities of the role are:

• Ensuring that prompt and efficient service is carried out in the F&B areas.
• Ensuring that the restaurant is clean and well maintained, that table appointments including table arrangements are impeccable
• Ensuring that servers are always correctly and smartly dressed, that they offer professional and courteous service to customers
• All areas are clean and stocked with the stipulated requirements
• F&B team are well trained, correctly, and smartly dressed and serve their customers in a professional and friendly manner
• Ensuring the control of guest checks, daily revenues and that cashiering procedures are followed
• Assigning and monitoring service staff breaks, vacations schedules, monthly attendance records
• Conducting pre-duty briefing in the absence of the Restaurant Manager or as assigned by the Restaurant Manager to be flexible and creative, working outside the box and across all areas of the house as per the business needs and in line with management directions

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a luxury hotel, members’ club, or high-end restaurant/bar.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of food, beverages, and service etiquette.
• Ability to create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for guests.

HOST DUTIES

• Support Community Manager and Membership Manager with day to day administration including overdue payments and member related issues. (with discretion)
• Warmly greet and escort members and guests, ensuring a professional and personal welcome.
• Manage table reservations and seating arrangements to optimise the guest experience.
• Liaise with the front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service operations.
• Uphold the club’s high standards of hospitality, etiquette, and discretion.
• Assist with special events, private bookings, and VIP guest preferences.
• Provide informed recommendations on the club’s dining, drinks, and events offerings.
