WORK WHERE IT MATTERS MOST, ACHIEVE WHAT MATTERS MORE
Be part of a team where passion meets purpose, as we work together where the challenge is greatest to change the lives and build the futures of children and young people.
We are excited to share an opportunity to join our finance team as Management Accountant.
We’re looking for a detail-orientated, motivated individual to support the finance function across our primary and secondary academies.
In this critical role, you’ll support the regional finance partners and academies in the production of management accounts, ensuring appropriate financial controls are in place. You will complete monthly reforecast reconciliation between budgets and accounting software, support on revenue projects as well as monitor and process academy income receipt.
The responsibilities of this role include supporting academies with contract management, including the preparation of business cases for procurement of items as well as reviewing and updating contract registers to ensure procurement timelines are adhered to.
You’ll prepare payroll reconciliation as required for cover during absence, processing payroll journals and input payroll information into the control account reconciliations.
This is a full time, remote role with some travel to academies or Birmingham office as required for meetings.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a candidate with professional qualification in accounting CCAB or equivalent experience ideally within an educational setting. You will have management experience of working in a large complex organisation which operates across multiple sites.
Up to date knowledge of accountancy and professional codes of practice is essential as this role will provide guidance and support to a range of stakeholders to ensure that the Trust’s finance policies and procedures are consistently applied.
You will have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills to conduct financial reporting and analysis. You will manage your own workload, take initiative as required and deliver high quality work under pressure to meet expectations and deadlines.
If you are passionate about making a difference and are ready to work in a challenging yet rewarding environment, we would love to hear from you.
