About the team You will be joining our high-performing Group Internal Audit (GIA) team that helps the Group pursue its objectives through impactful assurance and unique insights. The team uses leading audit tools, AI, and data capabilities to enhance the breadth, depth and speed of assurance and advice. The role can be based from our London, Wolverhampton or Chatham office with occasional travel between offices, we also operate a hybrid policy. What you will be doing? As Head of Audit - Business and Conduct, you will lead GIA’s assurance across business and conduct risk domains (including operations, customer, and compliance in the 1st and 2nd Lines). This will include strategic audit planning, oversight of audit delivery, quality assurance, and frequent senior stakeholder interactions. Reporting directly to the Chief Internal Auditor, you will be part of the GIA leadership team and play a key role in shaping and delivering functional strategy, evolving professional practices, running day-to-day team operations, and influencing culture and behaviour. You will also have line management responsibilities. Your responsibilities will include: Leading the planning and prioritisation of audits within the domain, contributing to the development of the annual Group audit plan and audit universe. Reviewing and approve audit scopes and sign off all final audit reports within the domain Providing direction, challenge and oversight to Senior Audit Managers and Audit Managers throughout audit delivery.
