What We’re Looking For:
The Chief Digital Solutions Officer (CDSO) is an executive leader responsible for both envisioning the future of the digital landscape while simultaneously coordinating functional capabilities within the organization. The CDSO ensures that the company’s digital and technological capabilities are innovative, flexible and aligned with the firm’s strategy. This role oversees three key functional areas: Digital Design Solutions, IT Infrastructure & Information Security, and Innovation Application & Solution Development. CDSO drives digital transformation aligned with the firm’s business goals, enabling operational excellence, risk management, secure systems, and future-focused innovation in support of client delivery and internal productivity.
Responsibilities

This role requires a diverse skill set that combines business acumen, leadership abilities, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the digital landscape.

• Digital Strategy Development: Ability to define and execute a long-term digital vision that aligns with business objectives.
• Business Acumen: Understands how digital investments drive business value, client impact, and competitive advantage.
• Change Leadership: Leads cultural and process transformation through influence, communication, and consistent engagement.
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Champions the exploration and implementation of new technologies, fostering a mindset of experimentation and iteration.
• Financial Stewardship: Develops and manages budgets, ensures cost-effective use of resources, and delivers measurable ROI from digital initiatives.
• Process Governance: Builds and sustains digital and stage gate processes that support scalability, consistency, and operational efficiency.
• Vendor and Technology Portfolio Management: Oversees selection, negotiation, and management of key technology platforms and service providers.
• Enterprise Architecture Understanding: Deep understanding of systems integration, data architecture, cloud infrastructure, and scalability.
• Cybersecurity and Risk Management: Oversees protection of enterprise assets and ensures compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Data Governance and Intelligence: Leads the development and oversight of frameworks for data quality, access, privacy, and utilization (e.g., data lakes, analytics environments).
• Digital Delivery & Design Tech Fluency: Knowledgeable in AEC-specific tools (CAD, BIM, VDC, modeling) and how they connect to enterprise IT and innovation effort
