Essential Job Functions • Stains, mounts, and studies cells of the human body under a microscope to detect evidence of cancer, hormonal abnormalities, and other pathological conditions following established standards and practices. • Performs specimen processing and special procedures with or without pathologists for adequacy as needed. • Functions as technical reference. • Correlates data and detects discrepancies (clerical and technical) based on review of GYN (gynecology) and non-GYN requisitions and computer data entry orders.
