Queensland Rail have a permanent full-time opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer in our SEQ Track and Civil Engineering team.   Based in our Corinda depot, this role is primarily responsible for providing technical engineering advice to a variety of external and internal clients to assist in providing engineering solutions across Queensland. Long service leave entitlements on completion of 7 years continuous service.  Free Citytrain travel to work and discounted rail travel for yourself and your dependents.   Some of the key responsibilities will include:   Working autonomously to provide engineering technical services to achieve objectives against specific KPIs, budgets and timeframes. Provide engineering support on a variety of track and civil engineering projects. Managing resources, consultants, and contracts to assist in the delivery of safe, timely and commercially sound engineering solutions.   We are seeking interest from candidates who have:   Ability to demonstrate and discuss practical experience, hands-on worksite construction experience essential. Strong focus on safety and proven capability managing stakeholders, contractors, unexpected events and on-site challenges. Previous experience in civil asset management, maintenance or construction, with willingness to learn and rapidly build capability. Experience in providing engineering design and technical support, ideally within a rail environment. High level of civil engineering support skills, including drainage, stormwater, civil works and track-related activities. Proven relationship management skills, including negotiation, problem solving and influencing key stakeholders. Commitment to a value‑engineering approach.
