ABOUT US:
Technical Safety Authority of Saskatchewan (TSASK) is a not-for-profit organization established in 2010 through The Technical Safety Authority of Saskatchewan Act. TSASK has responsibilities for a broad range of technologies – electrical, gas, plumbing, boiler and pressure vessels, elevating devices, and amusement rides. Our programs are designed to improve the administration, awareness, and oversight of technical safety in Saskatchewan for industry and the general public. Our ambition is to establish TSASK as a recognized leader in the best-practice delivery of services and to ensure we adhere to protocols that protect the health and safety of our staff, customers and public.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Communications Consultant plays a pivotal role in developing and executing strategic communication initiatives to enhance TSASK’s public image and ensure effective dissemination of information with internal and external stakeholders. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in communications and stakeholder engagement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Proven track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
· Strong understanding of digital communication tools and platforms.
· Ability to be innovative and think creatively.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team and demonstrate leadership.
· Strong organizational and project management skills.
· Superior attention to detail.
· Experience with digital analytics tools would be an asset.
· Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field or a combination of relevant experience and education.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in a corporate communications role, preferably within a regulatory environment.
· Strategic Communication Planning:
Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with TSASK’s mission and goals.
Participate in TSASK strategic planning sessions and development of the strategic plan.
· Content Creation and Management:
Research and prepare a wide range of written materials including the TSASK annual report, Board of Directors meeting material, training material as well as information items for internal and external clients.
Produce high-quality content for various platforms, including print, social media, the TSASK intranet site and website.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all platforms.
Coordinate trade shows and other appearances and develop the content material as required.
· Internal Communications:
Develop and manage internal communication initiatives to keep employees informed and engaged.
Collaborate with TSASK departments to support internal communication needs.
· Measurement and Reporting:
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and campaigns.
Develop, implement, analyze and report feedback from customer satisfaction and employee engagement surveys.
Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and the Board of Directors.
