This includes circuits, circuit protection devices, lights, outlets, motors, etc. Has a working knowledge of transformers, generators, and switchgear. Responsible for the installation of new circuits/equipment. Initiates requisitions for materials and supplies; prepares reports and maintains records of repairs. Responsible for all repairs to existing circuits/equipment. Works with electrical contractors to ensure proper completion of all major electrical projects. Maintains knowledge of current electrical codes, rules, regulations, and requirements. Prepares and maintains accurate records, files, and reports. Knows and understands company and departmental organizational structure, and adheres to all policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. Other duties as assigned. BRING US YOUR BEST. High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of full-time, wage-earning experience as an Electrician in maintenance, construction, or an industrial environment required. Completion of an apprenticeship program may substitute for two years of the required experience. Must understand and speak the English language. Must have knowledge of installation and maintenance of electrical equipment. Ability to operate equipment and machinery related to the assigned area. Ability to read and interpret electrical prints, diagrams, and schematics. Ability to coordinate with other staff, departments, officials, agencies, organizations, and the public.
