The Housing Support Office operates 24/7 and provides services to those living within the YMCA’s Housing Programs, which includes Transitional Housing and Supportive Housing Programs for youth and adults who have affordable/social housing needs. Informal counseling, advocacy and referrals are also provided. The Team Supervisor will support the Director of Transitional Housing Services in managing the day-to-day operations of Transitional Housing Services and helping to lead the Housing Services team in providing excellent service delivery. Some of the tasks of this position include: * Providing leadership to the Transitional Housing Services team, ensuring effective service delivery and attainment of operating and licensing standards. * Supervising staff in a unionized environment, respecting the current Collective Agreement. * Representing Transitional Housing Services in the organization and community.  * Assisting in the recruitment and training of staff. * Providing supervision and evaluation of full-time, part-time, casual, and contract employees. * Ensuring adequate levels of scheduled staff coverage to meet program and contractual requirements. * Monitoring standards for reporting and operating procedures. * Contributing to the development and maintenance of program-specific policies and procedures.
