Unit Description: 3 Pavilion is a medical teaching unit designed to provide specialized care for patients with complex medical needs requiring cardiac medical needs, particularly those requiring cardiac monitoring and stroke management. The emphasis on team-oriented care, hands-on experience with various medical devices (such as chest tubes, feeding tubes, and tracheostomies), and a supportive learning environment designed for nurses can develop both their clinical skills and teamwork abilities. The focus on teaching and leadership fosters a strong environment for professional growth. Responsibilities: Build Relationships: Create positive connections with patients and colleagues, respect cultural differences, and promote a safe, balanced work environment. Teach Effectively: Educate patients, families, and staff using adult learning principles; support team learning and guide patients through care transitions. Provide Holistic Care: Deliver individualized care using the nursing process, set daily goals, communicate clearly, and document thoroughly.
