Description
  • You will be responsible for:Leading and managing a team of Senior Platform Engineers, including work allocation, mentoring, training and upskilling.
  • Providing clear operational leadership and accountability for the Salesforce platform.
  • Developing, documenting and implementing processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of platform enablement.
  • Responding to major incidents and representing the directorate with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Managing vendor relationships and engaging with internal ICT teams to progress platform enablement activities.
  • Coordinating testing activities, stakeholder sign-offs and Change Advisory Board (CAB) representation for releases.
  • Coordinating with release management, testing, architecture, platform and digital delivery teams to manage critical paths, stakeholders and parallel release trains.
  • Proactively managing platform risks, dependencies and release cycles.
  • Improving release management and change governance.
  • Supporting platform security through proactive security patching, penetration testing and security maturity assessments.


  • To be successful you will need to have the following:More than 5 years’ experience leading and managing ICT support teams.
  • Experience supporting or managing complex CRM/business systems.
  • Deep Salesforce platform expertise, including Service Cloud, Experience Cloud and integrations.
  • Technical leadership experience managing senior support engineers.
  • Strong vendor management and stakeholder engagement skills across ICT and business divisions.
  • Proven capability in major incident response, change governance and release coordination.
  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce SDLC, including DevOps, CI/CD and platform enablement.
  • Demonstrated experience in process development, documentation and implementation.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • The ability to translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly explanations and solutions.
