Under the limited supervision of the School Administrator and reporting to and consulting closely with the Supervisor of Performance Studies (SPS), the Arts Technologist/Digital Media Producer and the Music Program Coordinator, the Music Performance Studies Coordinator is responsible for proactively planning, coordinating and overseeing the logistics relating to critical performance related activities in the School for Studies in Art and Culture, as well as for ensuring the success of all Performance Studies activity across a broad spectrum of concerts, performances and events. The Music Performance Studies Coordinator is responsible for the smooth and efficient coordination of all aspects of student performances and performance programming and participants, including the scheduling of internal and external examiners. The incumbent works with the Arts Technologist/Digital Media Producer to ensure all instruments and equipment are maintained and coordinates equipment loans and returns for the School. The incumbent also provides basic administrative duties within the School on an as-needed basis. Due to the nature of the work of this role, the incumbent must have sufficient physical ability to work in the required physically active technical setting, with work including walking, standing, sitting, kneeling, moderate to heavy lifting, carrying, and beyond. Exposure to noise can be expected. The incumbent will work varied hours that include evenings and weekends to support the various performance activities and events within the School.
