Strategic Staffing Solutions is currently looking for a Project Manager (Construction Infastructure) for a contract opportunity with one of our largest clients located in Amarillo, TX!
Title: Project Manager (Construction Infastructure)
Location: Amarillo, TX (Relocation within TX and NM possible) (On-Site Required)
Duration: 12 Months
Role Type: W2 Contract Engagement (USC or GC only)
Pay Rate: $105/HR

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Lead infrastructure projects involving cabling, layout design, electrical compliance, and equipment installation.
• Oversee the buildout of network closets and deployment of access points and data drops.
• Coordinate contractor handoffs and support bid development with detailed scopes of work.
• Compile comprehensive lists of materials and components required for complex, high-volume projects.
• Provide accurate cost estimates and item counts for budgeting and procurement.
• Attend frequent construction meetings and project calls to align with stakeholders and ensure progress.
• Be available on-site during initial phases through final implementation as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Proven experience in construction estimating and bid comparison analysis, with a strong understanding of construction trade practices.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in infrastructure project management.
• Expertise in infrastructure design and layout, specifically related to telecommunications/network closets, equipment racks, cable pathways, and physical buildouts.
• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects, with a focus on project scope and execution rather than budget alone.

TOP 3 TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of direct experience in infrastructure and construction project management.
• BICSI-certified (e.g., Outside Plant Designer, Installer).
• Experience managing large, complex infrastructure builds in the Texas region.

SOFT SKILLS:

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
• High level of attention to detail, especially in planning, documentation, and project follow-through.
