Description Department: Public Services Supervisor: Public Works, Facilities & Airport Manager Salary/Wage Range: $16.32 - $20.92 based on experience Application Deadline: April 5, 2026 Under direct supervision of the Electric Manager, Public Works Manager, Recreation Manager, or Water/Wastewater Manager/Supervisor, the Public Services Seasonal Laborer performs routine unskilled and semi-skilled work in the maintenance of parks, lawns, grounds, and recreation areas; cleans and maintains equipment and facilities, and other related functions as assigned or apparent. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and abilities required. Cleans restrooms, picnic pavilions, facilities, vehicles, and equipment. Operates tractors, pick-up trucks, brush chippers, chain saws, lawn mowers, weed trimmers, and other power-driven equipment and tools. Performs other manual labor, such as digging ditches, mixing cement, vacuuming and brushing outdoor pool walls and floor and cleaning trash from streets and grounds. Assists in weed inspection and abatement. Supports special events. Assists in locating utilities, jetting and maintenance of storm and sanitary sewer and painting hydrants. Performs physical demands and work environment requirements for this position. Attends regularly scheduled work hours and outside regular hours as necessary. Effectively and respectfully communicates and interacts with other employees, supervisors, individuals from other organizations, and citizen customers. Performs other related functions as assigned or apparent to achieve the goals and objectives of the Public Services Department.
