Artemis Staffing has partnered with a leader in the commercial real estate industry. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our partnered client’s finance team. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on accounting experience in a dynamic and growing sector, while supporting a portfolio of commercial properties and working closely with senior leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2–3+ years of accounting experience (commercial real estate industry experience preferred).
• Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Yardi, MRI, or similar property management/accounting software is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger entries for multiple commercial properties.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
• Reconcile bank accounts, tenant ledgers, and balance sheet accounts.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including tenant billing and vendor payments.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for property operations.
• Prepare financial reports for property managers, asset managers, and investors.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and industry-specific requirements.
• Support external audits and provide requested documentation.
