Monash Health Radiology is fully integrated with Philips PACS/RIS and equipped with some of the latest medical imaging technology including MRI, CT, ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine and PET. In addition to the there are 4 Angiography suites for Interventional Radiology and Neurointerventional Radiology. MHR also supports the Monash Biomedical Imaging site, one of the Monash University platforms that provides capacity and capability for human MRI and PET MRI research.    Together with the Monash University Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences, MHR is currently the largest research department in Australia as measured by research funding and number of publications. The MHR service provides over 365,000 imaging examinations per year across all sites, currently employs over 600 EFT. Radiology clearly defines its mission as the delivery of leading edge, evidence-based diagnostic and therapeutic imaging services, and research and education that meets the needs of our community and employees.    Our proposed vision is to pursue excellence, be a beacon within radiology, and be the prime provider and destination of choice for our community, referrers, researchers, educational institutions, employees, and students. Monash Health Radiology continues to grow radiology-led clinical trials. We currently are involved in Phase 1 to Phase 3 clinical trials being led by our Interventional Radiology and NeuroInterventional Radiology teams. We are also funded to pursue several clinical studies and translational research.        About the Role   The purpose of this appointment is to provide support to our growing radiology clinical trials program. The role requires excellent attention to detail to ensure exemplary quality clinical trial activity. Under the direction of the principal investigators and other team leaders, the MHR Clinical Trials and Research Manager (MHRCTRM) will be managing and helping conduct clinical trials according to the specific study protocols and in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures of Monash Health, the relevant Human Research Ethics Committee Approval, Site Authorisation and follow Good Clinical Research Practice as set out by the International Conference on Harmonisation. The successful candidate will have responsibility for the delivery of direct and indirect clinical trial participant management and associated data collection. The MHRCTRM will be responsible for:   Coordinating and managing clinical trials   Direct and indirect clinical trial related care within scope of practice   Completing and submit ethics and governance submissions for clinical trials   Developing towards a structure and a team of clinical trial nurses to support clinical trial activity in the program.   Input into conference abstracts / presentations   The MHRCTRM will liaise with the managers/team leaders and relevant Monash Health personnel, to ensure appropriate clinical trial participant recruitment, data collection and database management in clinical trials as required.
