• 2+ years: $80,000+
• 5+ years: $105,000+

Where you make an impact: For this opportunity, we are seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented Model-Based Systems Engineer. This exciting position will have the chance to work on just about any aspect there is as it pertains to developing models and digital engineering artifacts that enable a system-of-systems view across Navy and DoD programs. You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, including software developers, UI/UX designers, and data scientists, while supporting high-visibility projects that emphasize innovation, integration, and real-world application of MBSE practices.

What does this mean to you? We are seeking expertise in Model-Based Systems Engineering such as:

• Experience applying MBSE practices, techniques, and tools to systems design and integration
• Experience applying MBSE practices, techniques, and tools to systems design and integration
• Experience supporting systems engineering activities: architecture, design, V&V, and digital thread integration
• Interest in exploring AI/ML techniques as part of model-based analysis workflows
• Skill in preparing reports, briefs, and digital artifacts for internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse technical teams in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related technical field

Let’s talk salary. The annual salary range for this position starts at $70,000 and goes up based on your qualifications. We also offer a competitive benefits package and have fringe benefits offered throughout the year. The benefits package value ranges from $13,000 for a single employee, and up to $28,000 for an employee and their family. So, you want to work from home? Let’s be honest, remote work is not always all it’s cut out to be. At G2 Ops, we offer a flexible schedule to meet the needs of our team members and customers. Due to the classification level of the projects we support as a Defense Contractor, we cannot offer fully remote opportunities at this time.
You will have a shiny desk at our G2 Ops office, plus the opportunity to work at a military site directly with our customers (this is a good thing!). We do allow teleworking with prior approval, but supporting the DoD, you will be required to work at a government site as well.

Lastly, as we are working for the DoD, we are beholden to some requirements. The ideal candidate would already possess an active DoD Secret level clearance.
