Description LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is looking for an individual to join our team as a Cord Blood Records Specialist in Gainesville, FL. This position is responsible for the filing, organizing and maintaining cord blood donor records, conducting routine communication activities with cord blood registries and assisting with developing and maintaining departmental statistics. This position is also responsible for assisting management in the coordination of projects and for providing high-level administrative support. Must meet and maintain LifeSouth driver's eligibility requirements - Ability to work independently and handle multiple assignments concurrently - Basic computer skills and competence with the Microsoft Office Suite - Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing - Ability to follow moderately complex oral and written instructions - Ability to interact professionally with all customers, both external and internal - Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred - Previous blood banking, quality assurance or cord blood experience preferred Who We Are LifeSouth is a non-profit community blood bank serving more than 150 hospitals in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee.
