POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Admin with a background in the U.S. logistics and freight industry to manage financial transactions and reporting related to our operations. This is a hybrid role requiring both remote and on-site work. If you excel at detail-oriented tasks and thrive in an independent work environment, we want to hear from you!

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience in accounting within the logistics or freight industry.
• Strong skills in invoicing, expense tracking, and financial analysis.
• Knowledge of U.S. accounting standards and best practices.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
• 5+ Years of Experience with Quickbooks in AP and AR.
• Candidates within a 40-minute commute to Asheville, NC will be prioritized.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Book Cleanup: Organize and reconcile the 2024 financial records.
• Accounts Receivable (AR): Catch up on client invoicing and ensure timely follow-ups.
• Accounts Payable (AP): Establish a reliable system for paying vendors on time.
• Maintain compliance with U.S. accounting standards and regulations.
• Analyze financial data to identify insights that can improve logistics processes.

This is a hybrid role, and candidates near the Asheville, NC office will be preferred for occasional in office meetings.

• Job Type: Contractor, 1099
• Pay: $22 for the first two weeks then $25 once we mutually decide its a good fit
• Expected Hours: Seasonally between 25-30 hrs/week, (near future 40 hrs/week)
• Schedule: Monday – Friday
• Hybrid role; remote considered for highly qualified candidates only
