Purpose Working closely with the Product Manager and other team members on projects, you will plan and implement effective test strategies in order to ensure the quality of a range of desktop, server and web-based software solutions needed to enhance and support the tech at Next. Responsibilities Use a wide range of techniques and technologies such as; SQL for database interrogation API and cross browser testing Azure DevOps/cloud, Team Foundation Server, Leapwork, Selenium, Browserstack, Playwright Design and develop manual and automated tests, producing detailed test scripts. Perform manual and automation testing Liaise with development teams and key business users during the testing, providing updates and status reports and alerting potential issues Accountabilities Know How Is aware of the difference between unit testing, system testing and regression testing Technically competent with core skills and willing to learn new skills Familiar with technical languages and tools available and is aware of what they can be used for Has a good overall view of the business and systems being supported and actively expands this knowledge Retains knowledge of implemented systems / process knowledge and is usable in future discussions Knows who their business contacts are Is aware that a problem may not always require a systems change - a change of working practice may be all that is required.
