Northvale is a 34 year old company that specializes in developing and manufacturing paper products, stationery, toys and hardline goods. We are currently looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to add to our team to assist in developing products & packaging artwork for our product ranges. We require a creative individual who is hard working with a highly-developed visual sense and an interest in trends in graphic and product design. There are many opportunities to learn from this junior role within the company as we have an aggressive growth strategy. This is a one year contract (opportunity to become full time) and we are located at Hwy 7 & Warden in Markham. Working Hours are from 10am to 6pm. Work location at the office unless otherwise specified.
A Typical day looks like this:
- Assist Sales Managers in developing designs, packaging and media content.
- Think creatively and develop design concepts both independently and collaboratively.
- Manage Multiple projects and follow timelines & deadlines.
- Work with a range of media and use Adobe Creative Suite
- Interact, communicate and present ideas in a professional manner

Requirements:

• Proficient & Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, Mac.
• Be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects and timelines.
• Fast learner and can work with multiple project deadlines
• Organized and efficient
• Have high Attention to detail
• Understand design field in page layout, typography and design theory
• High proficiency in all design aspects
• Professionalism regarding time, deadlines and working in a team environment
