Job Summary:  The Therapeutic Support Specialist plays a critical support role in the day-to-day operations of a therapeutic program serving youth. This position is responsible for the supervision and care of clients, providing direct service coverage during staff absences, and offering crisis intervention as needed. The role supports Mental Health Group Specialists and assists supervisors and managers in implementing evidence-based models, maintaining daily structure, and meeting regulatory requirements. The Therapeutic Support Specialist also contributes to treatment planning, team collaboration, and administrative functions to ensure effective program delivery and a safe, therapeutic environment. This role requires travel to partner schools throughout the surrounding counties, mileage is reimbursed.  Key Responsibilities:  Direct Client Service  * Provide coverage for absent Therapeutic Group Leaders, facilitating therapeutic groups, implementing treatment plans, and utilizing appropriate teaching procedures. * Deliver crisis intervention and back-up support to ensure client safety and program continuity. Internal and External Collaboration  * Participate in team meetings to review client progress and contribute to treatment planning. * Collaborate daily with team members to ensure individualized and humane treatment. * Assist supervisor with caregiver/guardian communication, documenting and sharing relevant feedback. Administrative Support  * Coordinate distribution of supplies, snacks, and incentives for clients. * Support staff with necessary documentation and orientation of new youth as assigned. * Ensure TGLs have access to the materials and tools required for daily operations. * Quality Assurance and Program Effectiveness * Engage in client debriefs and support adjustments to treatment plans as needed. * Receive and apply feedback to grow professionally and maintain TFM (Teaching-Family Model) certification. * Execute crisis interventions, including de-escalation, life space interviews, and physical interventions as trained. * Complete and maintain certification in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), CPR, and First Aid. * Fulfill all mandatory training requirements. Fiscal Responsibility  * Report client attendance concerns to the supervisor. * Utilize program resources efficiently and responsibly. Other Duties  * Perform additional duties as assigned to support program and organizational needs.
