PPI Engineering Ltd is a Norwich based engineering company which specialises in the supply and support of rotating electrical machines and associated equipment. The company has a strong engineering bias and designs products to customer specification.
We have a requirement for a Projects/ Contracts Engineer preferably with experience in handling technical customer project orders in a manufacture to order engineering business. The individual should be self-motivated, flexible and have some mechanical engineering and logistics knowledge.
The successful applicant will be working as part of a small team and would be required to undertake the following tasks -
· Manage current projects and deliver on time, in budget.
· Coordinating service engineers
· Assist in the development of new business in the UK and overseas.
· Liaise with the PPI Engineering team across departments in the UK and the commercial office in China.
· Liaising, negotiating and building relationships with suppliers and Customers worldwide.
· Provide technical, commercial and logistics support as required.
· Some Clerical/Admin tasks - raising purchase orders, invoices and shipping documents
A knowledge of Microsoft Office and Access software would be an advantage.
The successful applicant would also be required to travel overseas to visit customers and suppliers.
