JOB DESCRIPTION

The Temporary Consultant will serve as the iWPB Architecture and Engineering Representative for STA Singapore, supporting HSBC’s strategic ambition to lead the Asia wealth management market. This role is critical in driving the successful implementation of next-generation wealth and premier solutions, ensuring alignment with HSBC’s international wealth management strategy across ASP markets. The consultant will act as a bridge between HTC’s global software development center and local execution teams, showcasing HTC’s capabilities in product design, user experience, architecture, development, and maintenance.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Represent IWPB WPS HTC engineering teams in Singapore, collaborating closely with product owners, compliance, legal, and operational support teams to drive project execution.
  • Facilitate communication and alignment between ASP CEO’s strategic vision and local implementation teams.
  • Lead and support the design, planning, and delivery of next-generation wealth and premier solutions, ensuring best practices in software engineering and architecture.
  • Build trust and demonstrate HTC’s comprehensive IT capabilities to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to project delivery, ensuring lessons learned from past projects are applied to avoid delays and cost overruns.
  • Promote efficient collaboration across GBGF departments and ASP timezones to achieve project goals.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in architecture, engineering, or consulting roles within the financial services or wealth management sector.
  • Strong understanding of software product design, user experience research, and IT project delivery.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams and geographies.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive project execution and deliver results in a fast-paced, international environment.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including product, compliance, legal, and operations.
  • Knowledge of the Asia wealth management market and related regulatory environments is preferred.
  • University degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience representing global IT or software development centers in regional or international projects.
  • Track record of successful project delivery in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Familiarity with HSBC’s organizational structure and strategic priorities is an advantage.
