Brand new role for an onsite painter to carry out Masking and wet paint spraying of aerospace components and actuators within the global sustainment business.
The role involves working to engineering drawings and paint process specification to ensure 100% quality compliance. Masking and de-masking of complex aerospace components.

The Role Of Component/actuator Painter

• Setting up paint equipment.
• Manual masking and de masking of component parts and actuators.
• Manual Paint Spraying of component parts.
• Applying primer coats, basecoats, and lacquers.
• Carrying out quality checks.
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment.
• Understand batch control for traceability and audit purposes.
• Knowledge of the use of Viscosity Cups

Skills & Experience

• Strong communication skills.
• The ability to work alone and as part of a team.
• The ability to maintain quality under pressure.
• The awareness and adherence to safety procedures
• The ability to use specialist equipment.
• The ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Exposure to automotive or aerospace paint spraying and masking/de-masking would be very advantageous.

Security Clearance
Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role.
