Position Purpose * The main function of the Civil Engineer is to provide support related to construction material testing and geophysical and geotechnical inspections with 5 hours per report max for review. As required, the engineer will be responsible for final approval of civil test reports for compliance with our internal quality program and project specifications prior to submission to the client. The engineer will assure that the work is completed by qualified staff using appropriate equipment meeting the requirements of our NQA -1 quality program. Duties and Responsibilities * Perform periodic reconnaissance of the on-site testing laboratory to assure that procedures are in-place and being followed to provide acceptable results.  * Review test reports and stamp documents to affirm the results are acceptable and compliant with procedure.  * Review commercial software acquired to support the project for adequacy in producing acceptable and repeatable results. * Track the reports to assure they are processed and returned with a one week turnaround or less as specified by the client.  * Support operational inquires in a timely  Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. * Maintain a strong customer service focus. * Enforce and abide the requirements of safe operation and personal safety using required Personal Protective Equipment and  * Safe Practices per company policy. * Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. * Prediction of physical principles, laws, their interrelationships, and applications to understanding fluid, and material, processes. * Chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo.
