Nature du travail


Selon la convention collective en vigueur, l’enseignante ou l’enseignant dispense des activités d’apprentissage et de formation aux élèves. Elle ou il participe au développement de la vie étudiante.


Dans ce cadre, les attributions caractéristiques de l’enseignante ou l’enseignant sont :


  • Préparer et dispenser des cours dans les limites des programmes autorisés.
  • Collaborer avec les autres enseignantes ou enseignants et les professionnelles ou professionnels de l’école en vue de prendre les mesures appropriées pour servir les besoins individuels de l’élève.
  • Organiser et superviser des activités étudiantes et d’y participer.
  • Assumer les responsabilités d’encadrement auprès d’un groupe d’élèves.
  • Évaluer le rendement et le progrès des élèves qui lui sont confiés et d’en faire rapport à la direction de l’école et aux parents selon le système en vigueur.

  • Une qualification légale (brevet ou permis d’enseignement) émise par le ministère de l’Éducation du Québec (MEQ) (Enseignant légalement qualifié).
  • Se soumettre à des exigences ministérielles, entre autres, réussir un test de français et s’inscrire à un programme d’études universitaires en enseignement.
  • Une autorisation provisoire d’enseigner selon les conditions du CSSDN (enseignant légalement qualifié).
  • Un baccalauréat disciplinaire relié au champ à enseigner (enseignant non légalement qualifié).
