Assists in assessment of students’ reading and writing abilities. Coordinates instructional efforts with teachers and educational staff and assists and supports the development of lesson plans. Presents subject matter to students under the direction and guidance of teachers, using lectures, computer-based instruction, discussions, or supervised role-playing methods. Assists individuals and small student groups and reinforces learning concepts presented by teachers. Provides student performance assessment assistance for assigned subject matter, providing feedback to the student and the teacher. Communicates (verbally and in writing) with students and parents about routine issues in their native language.
