The Role We are searching for a highly skilled Therapy Medical Physicist to join our dedicated team of experts. Our candidates must be well-trained in Radiation Oncology and be able to work in a collaborative team environment. Clinic Information: * This position is located in Richmond, VA market and will be also supporting surrounding areas. * This clinics you will support have both Varian and Elekta equipment. * Treatment planning systems include Mosaiq, Monaco, Aria & Eclipse. * This role will partner with a great team of several physicists, dosimetrist (onsite and remote), and physicians. What You’ll Do * Perform weekly and monthly radiation measurements, as well as yearly calibration on all treatment units. * Monitor equipment in the Radiation Oncology Department to ensure that it is functioning correctly and safely. * Maintain regulatory agency records and reports. * Analyze alternative treatment plans and supervise dosimetry treatment planning functions. * Implement assessment/treatment and care based on the developmental stages of the patient. * Perform additional duties, as needed. What You’ll Need * Master’s Degree and/or PhD in Medical Physics. * A board certification by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Medical Physics, or board eligibility as demonstrated by graduation from a CAMPEP accredited residency in therapy physics. * 2+ years of clinical Therapy Medical Physics experience preferred. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to interpret regulations. * A willingness to go “above and beyond” for clients and fellow colleagues. * Demonstrate initiative, organization, and ownership of daily tasks and projects. * Ability to problem solve by seeking, developing, and implementing viable solutions.
