Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Communication Sciences and Disorders, Speech and Hearing Sciences, Speech-Language Pathology) or another field with 24 credits in Speech Language Hearing Sciences. Current Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) certification in Colorado and training or willingness to train in nonviolent crisis intervention (CPI) techniques are mandatory.
