Rockland Trust is seeking a Loan Data Specialist. The Loan Data Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of loan data within the Horizon loan system. This position supports both commercial and consumer loan operations, focusing on data quality, system maintenance, and reporting to enhance overall loan servicing processes. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience working with loan systems and data management. This role will support our loan operations by working with internal and external partners to ensure all loan data is processed efficiently and accurately.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or related work experience in operations
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with database management, data entry, and reporting tools.
• Familiarity with loan-related terminology, processes, and documentation.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data processing.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies and issues quickly.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal teams and external partners.
• Organization Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years of experience in loan processing, loan servicing, data management, or a related field.Knowledge of regulatory compliance related to loans and financial services (e.g., Truth in Lending Act (Regulation Z), Service members Civil Relief Act, Community Reinvestment Act, GLBA…).

• Data Management: Accurately input, maintain, and update loan data in the company’s loan management system, ensuring consistency and compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Data Analysis: Perform regular audits and checks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of loan information, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues promptly. Identify, investigate, and resolve data discrepancies, missing fields, or system errors that impact loan processing.

• Compliance: Support all data processes and activities comply with federal, state, and company regulations, including privacy laws and industry standards.
• Customer Support: Assist with internal and external queries related to loan data, providing support and guidance to support smooth communication and data flow.
