This position reports to the office 5-days per week and we do not have remote or hybrid opportunities. Only local candidates will be considered as we do not offer relocation assistance. Astura's Design Engineer will serve as a design resource during the development process. The primary goal of the Design Engineer is to use established requirements to design devices using CAD software. Job Responsibilities: CAD Modeling: Responsible for modeling of complex parts using Solidworks CAD software including; design tables, surfacing, and complex assemblies. Manufacturing Drawings: Responsible for creating manufacturing drawings per ASME Y14.5. Tolerance Analysis (GD&T): Responsible for performing tolerance analysis on all interfacing devices. Design for Manufacturability: Responsible for working with manufacturing personnel to ensure parts can be efficiently manufactured.
