12 Month Secondment opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team for the Adult Eating Disorder Inpatient Unit at St George’s Hospital, Stafford.
Responsibilities include assessment, care and discharge planning for individuals with eating disorders and complex need. Coordinating and leading therapeutic group and rehabilitation programmes for the inpatient service alongside the multidisciplinary team. Providing leadership and clinical expertise in the adult eating disorder service, contributing to the delivery of a modern Occupational Therapy service.
To contribute to the delivery of the Occupational Therapy Programme for inpatient and day treatment services for eating disorders alongside a multi-disciplinary team, other service providers, service users, carers and families.
There is an expectation that all clinical work is underpinned by theoretical and technical knowledge, and practical experience gained from a degree / diploma in Occupational Therapy and other relevant training. Clinical service delivery will incorporate a range of therapeutic interventions including psycho-education groups; rehabilitation activities and supported eating using occupational performance to address skill deficits enabling the client in areas of self-maintenance, productivity and leisure.
