Job Title: Regional Sales Representative

Position Summary: This job requires 50% travel to Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Iowa and Nebraska. Perform field promotional work to develop, sell, and maintain new business for wastewater treatment systems. Work with current accounts in Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Iowa and Nebraska; develop new territories and new industries; increase market growth by identifying specific potential and establishing product acceptance in existing territories. Demonstrate products/services and provide assistance in determining the correct application of the product. Coordinate with the Company’s technical engineering services to meet the customers’ needs and identify new products. Prepare price quotations, terms of sales, and delivery dates. Jet is located in Cleveland, Ohio but this position can be remote if you live in a different state close to the territory of Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Iowa and Nebraska.

Examples of Duties/Responsibilities:

• Develop market by attending trade and environmental health shows
• Maintain excellent working relationships with distributors and health officials through regular meetings and providing training on Jet Products
• Increase sales by obtaining new prospects and signing distributors.
• Provide technical support to distributors and handle customer complaints
• Actively participate in Factory Training Seminars
• Identify product regulatory requirements by researching standards and policies established by NSF or other regulatory authorities in the assigned territory
• Assist with conducting NSF inspections at installations
• Communicate changes in wastewater regulations
• Possess knowledge of Jet products as well as competition and industry practices
• Provide sales forecasts, develop market initiatives, and identify process improvements.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of sales experience with capital equipment or in a distribution system. Wastewater treatment field experience and knowledge a plus.
Specific Skills: Organized, excellent communication skills; ability to accurately interface with computer, inventory & order systems.
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.: Working knowledge of residential and or commercial systems and wastewater operations a plus.
Travel: Approximately 50%
Supervisory Responsibility: None

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

This is light work requiring the exertion of up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects; work requires stooping, crouching, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling and repetitive motions; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken work; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; visual acuity is required for depth perception, color perception, preparing and analyzing written or computer data of documents at or within arms length, operation of office machines and determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work; the worker is subject to inside environmental conditions and hazards.
