What will your typical day look like?
The Partner Ledger Support team is critical to ensuring the financial health of Partner ledgers. This role involves close collaboration with Partners to manage working capital, address engagement financial queries, maintain visibility on high-risk engagements, mitigate risks effectively and escalate when necessary.
Your specific responsibilities as a Partner Ledger Support (PLS) team member include, but are not limited to, the following:
Meeting assigned Partners monthly to discuss their WIP & Debtors ledgers, highlighting opportunities to invoice clients and / or for Partners to chase clients for overdue payments
Acting as the ‘go to person’ for engagement teams and Partners on engagement code management queries
Looking after and undertaking maintenance of engagement codes including updating resource rates, processing financial adjustments, and closing engagement codes, whilst working seamlessly with the internal Engagement Support Centre of Excellence team
Analysing and identifying causes and consequences in engagement financials
Identifying and mitigating operational business risk, with focus on key financial metrics
Providing financial status reports, including commentary on Partner working capital positions, and assisting the Business Finance team with month-end financial hygiene
Liaising with relevant teams offshore
Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including but not limited to Business Finance, National Resourcing, engagement teams and Operating Unit Leaders
Responding to ad-hoc queries on financial position / performance from Firm Leadership or engagement teams.
About the team
The Engagement Financial Operations (EFO) team provides a comprehensive firm-wide engagement support service to facilitate good engagement health, hygiene, and financial management across all engagements and client accounts. The EFO support Partners and engagement teams with engagement financial management, whilst providing insights relating to engagement financial risk and impacts on engagement financial performance.
The Partner Ledger Support (PLS) team sits under EFO in the National Finance Business Unit and is responsible for monitoring Partner ledger hygiene, highlighting DSO improvement opportunities and identifying potential exposures.

You may have all or some of the following skills / experiences:
At least 12 months experience in a similar operations/project controller role
Experience and exposure to financials and financial reporting
Knowledge and experience in software programs such as Excel, PowerBI, Tableau, and SAP (preferable)
Possess a bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
Strong communication, attention to detail, multitasking, numerical and interpersonal skills
Ability to present, interact and articulate financials to all levels of seniority
Motivation and a ‘can-do’ attitude
Excellent stakeholder management skills – ability to gain stakeholder commitment to actions
Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to manage difficult conversations assertively and professionally
