SKILLS

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience teaching in a PYP setting (Grades 4-5). Genuine alignment with the philosophy of the IB and the values embodied in the Learner Profile are essential, as is a passion for teaching. In addition, we seek a candidate with:

• A Bachelor of Education degree, or an initial degree plus a relevant teaching qualification such as a PGCE, PGDE or equivalent specialism in Primary. Advanced qualifications are preferred but not essential
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Primary School teacher.
• A strong understanding of the IB PYP framework and Approaches to Teaching is preferred
• A strong desire to continually improve their practice and deliver outstanding teaching and learning experiences for their students
• The experience, personality and educational philosophy that aligns with a leading IB World School like GEMS World Academy
