In Workum, there are two factories of FrieslandCampina. A cheese factory, the largest of FrieslandCampina, which produces 130 million kilograms of cheese every year. And an Ingredients factory that processes all the whey from the cheese factory, 1.2 billion liters per year, into high-quality ingredients for baby and children’s food, and for the medical and active performance segment. The production site in Workum is part of FrieslandCampina Ingredients and focuses on the production of ingredients for infant and medical nutrition. The Workum Ingredients location is currently fully in development, with the drying and liquid delivery of high-quality proteins, drying of organic D90, and with challenging plans in the field of sustainability.

Wat we vragen

• Completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in (Food) Technology;
• At least five years of work experience in a similar role/environment;
• Work experience within Continuous Improvement is a plus;
• Experience in project work;
• Analytical, persuasive, proactive, flexible, stress-resistant;
• Result-oriented team player with a high level of commitment;
• Communicatively skilled at all levels (oral and written) in Dutch & English.

• You ensure improvement of production process regarding reduction of losses and improvement of operational excellence;
• You provides insight in site performance in regard to material losses and energy balance. (site models);
• You support setting and updating roadmap targets for overall CI program, push/challenge for keeping high ambition;
• You lead the process of our Performance+ savings program;
• You collect relevant information, translates it into reports with clear conclusions and proposals, and shares this information with management and other stakeholders;
• You provide input for location strategy and translates this into asset master plans and annual plans/budgets for own departments;
• You initiate root cause analysis and lead the RCA team where needed;
• You support (together with your Cheese collegue) the Sustainability Roadmap for Workum site and initiate improvements where needed.
