We care.  You belong. Job Summary Community Clinic is seeking an RN to join our Women's Health team at our Springdale Family Practice/Women's Health location in Springdale, AR. This position will split time between the Educator (20%) and Clinic Nurse (80%) roles. As Clinic Nurse they manage patient care under the direction of clinicians, assisting in providing excellent health care to our patients. As Patient Educator, they will educate, evaluate, and build relationships with Healthy Start program clients and community organizations. This position will report to the Practice Manager. This position is Full Time, reporting in person Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM   Key Responsibilities  * Assess Health Start program patient learning needs and provide individualized education.  * Explain medical conditions, treatment plans, and medications.  * Demonstrate procedures and provide instructions for home care.  * Address patient and family concerns and questions.  * Maintains patient flow during clinic so as to assure prompt service for patients. * Obtains vital signs, measurements and laboratory tests accurately, as per protocol. * Obtains chief complaint and reason for visit using excellent listening skills. * Administers treatments and medications proficiently and safely. * Maintains exam room supplies and cleanliness for optimal efficiency. * Refers patients as appropriate, interacting with referral sources in a professional and cordial manner. * Triages unscheduled patients, telephone calls and other patient concerns using triage protocols and professional judgment as well as a warmth and concern for the patient’s wellbeing.  * Documents all patient interactions completely and promptly in the medical record. * Refers patients to other providers as requested by clinicians; completes forms, maintains records of referral and follow-up of results and recommendations. Appropriately documents referral interactions in the medical record. * Adheres to applicable regulatory guidelines and laws, including but not limited to HIPAA/HITECH, CLIA, HRSA, NCQA PCMH and OSHA.  * Ensures that Community Clinic will not cause or allow any organizational practice, activity, decision or circumstance which is unlawful, imprudent, and negligent, contrary to mission, vision or policies or in violation of commonly accepted nonprofit or professional ethics. * With respect to the treatment of users, our Clinic’s Staff may not cause or allow conditions, procedures, or decisions that are unfair, unsafe, undignified, discriminatory or preferential, or fail to provide appropriate confidentiality. * Ensures that Community Clinic protects our IRS tax-exempt status (501(c)(3) at all times. * Ability to travel for activities such as meetings, classes, and workshops.
