Requirements Job Responsibilities Communicating test status and results to Lab Manager Collect asphalt samples from plants, job sites, or roadways Perform laboratory tests on asphalt binder and mixtures Prepare samples for testing using ovens, sieves, and compaction equipment Record and analyze test results accurately Compare results against project specifications and standards Maintain and calibrate lab equipment Prepare reports for engineers, contractors, or project managers Assist with troubleshooting material performance issues Follow safety and quality control procedures Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects and tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision Adhering to deadlines Ability to be flexible during peak times Promoting a safe work environment and maintaining a clean and organized work area Assisting with AASHTO (American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials) proficiency testing as required Great attention to detail is required Reporting any issues to the supervisor/manager Any other task requested by the supervisor/ manager Job Skills & Requirements Industry certifications required: 1A (Required) Familiarity with lab equipment and computers Physical ability to handle materials and stand for long periods Love and enjoy working indoors/outdoors.
