As a Clinical Coder Health Group Lead , You should be able to accurately code using ICD-10 and OPCS-4 classifications will be key, as you work with the Solventum Medicode Coding System.
You’ll also be collaborating directly with other Health Group Leads. providing critical feedback on complex cases, and driving improvements in coding depth and accuracy.

WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:

  • Holds the National Clinical Coding Qualification (ACC)
  • Has substantial experience in clinical coding using ICD-10 and OPCS-4
  • H as experience using PASID System, an encoder such as Solventum Medicode, IFit and ideally BI or similar tools
  • Is willing to learn Lorenzo
  • Has strong communication skills to liaise effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Works confidently under pressure and meets tight deadlines with precision
  • Enjoys mentoring others and sharing knowledge within a collaborative team

Responsibilities

Follow the four step coding process, ensuring compliance with NHS Digital and WHO standards.
Liaise directly with Health Group and Mortality Leads to provide detailed feedback on complex information and contribute to ongoing improvements in coding practices.
Guide, support and mentor junior coding staff, monitor workloads, and maintain a productive and motivated team.
Ensure all coding tasks are completed to the highest standards within set deadlines, with attention to detail under pressure.
