Job Overview: This role will assist licensed plumbers with installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in residential settings. This is a hands-on role that offers valuable on-the-job training and the opportunity to grow within the plumbing trade. Key Responsibilities: Arrives at customer appointments on time and dressed in East End Plumbing apparel Assists licensed plumbers and helps them permanently solve plumbing problems for homeowners by installing, repairing, and maintaining residential plumbing systems and fixtures Learns to interpret blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials Supports troubleshooting and repair of plumbing issues under supervision. Learns how to: Inspect plumbing systems, identify issues, and recommend appropriate solutions Install and/or repair plumbing systems and fixtures Test plumbing systems for leaks and other problems using pressure gauges and other tools Install water heaters and related equipment Run gas lines for standby generators (partnering with our sister company, Grand Bay Electric) Perform drain cleaning and other general plumbing services using drain snakes, augers, inspection cameras, and hydro-jetters to locate and eliminate clogs Provide estimates to homeowners for plumbing work and assists in project planning Collect payment from homeowners Discusses preventive maintenance plans with homeowners to avoid future issues Follows safety protocols and complies with local plumbing codes and regulations.
