Additional Information About the Role Our High-Risk Cardiology unit is vital to the flow of patients being admitted from the ED, CCU, admitting, procedural areas, other units within the hospital, and even outside hospitals. Our 32-bed unit is covered by Hospitalist Attendings with a cardiology consult. Together, they collaborate closely to care for a variety of cardiac illness including CAD, HTN, Chest Pain, Pacemaker/ICD implants and malfunctions, Arrhythmias, Heart Failure, Valve Disease, and Pulmonary Hypertension.
